The Central Florida Brain Injury Support Group, formerly known as the Orlando Brain Injury Support Group, is a traumatic brain injury (TBI) group that meets monthly for socialization, education, exchange of resources, and support. Our mission is To Build Brain Injury Awareness Through Knowledge and Friendship. All brain injury survivors, family members, caregivers, and professional advocates are welcome.

The Orlando Brain Injury Support Group was founded in 1981 by the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Center of the Orlando Regional Medical Center. Mayor Bill Fredrick and Councilmember Glenda Hood dedicated the former Delaney School to become the Mayor William Beardall Senior Center in 1986, with the Orlando Brain Injury Support Group being officially adopted as a permanent program. The group was established as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization as The Central Florida Brain Injury Support Group, Inc. in August 2009.

We are TBI survivor-driven and self-supported through our own contribution and individual donations. No members or staff receive salary or other compensation. We depend on contributions for meeting materials, events, and outreach costs. All donations made are tax deductible.
